Ron Paul for 2012 President

Posted by Raziq Ahmed on 17 Dec 2011

With primary season just around the comer, I’d like to explain why Ron Paul is clearly the best choice to be our next president. Here is my case for Congressman Paul:

• He is 100 percent pro-life.
• He is strong on national defense.

He is one of only two Republican candidates who have served in the military. He also receives more military campaign contributions than the rest of the Republican field combined. If we are to believe the Republican establishment mantra that Ron Paul is dangerous because of his non-interventionist foreign policy views, then why does he have such strong support from the troops?

• He opposes the Patriot Act. Ben Franklin warned us to never sacrifice liberty for the promise of security, yet all other Republican candidates and President Obama are willing to trample the Bill of Rights in the name of protecting us. As Congressman Paul said in a recent debate, the government can keep us completely safe by implementing a police state, but then the real crime would be against the American people because we’d no longer be free. He’s the one candidate who understands how precious freedom is.

• He would audit the Federal Reserve. He is also the only candidate who recognizes gold as money. President Nixon took us off the gold standard by executive order in 1971. Ron Paul could just as easily reverse that and put us back on the gold standard to protect our hard-earned money from the hidden inflation tax.

• Most of all, Ron Paul is a man of integrity and honesty. We can trust that he will stand and fight for freedom, which means he will fight against the global warming cronyism and individual health insurance mandates advocated by President Obama and his Republican pal “Newt Romney.”

The 2012 caucus is Tuesday, Feb. 7. If you will be 18 by election day in November, you are eligible to caucus. Ron Paul’s campaign depends on grassroots support and organizing across the country. You may have heard about the Ron Paul meet-ups that have been taking place at local businesses. We’re meeting again Dec. l7 at 3 p.m. at Joe’s Sports Cafe. Come join us as we do our part in helping Ron Paul become our next president.
